On February 22, 2024, Institute of International Education of KROK University held an informational event onlinein the frameworks of the ERASMUS FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS program in Ukraine.

Webinar was organized with the support of the Microfinanza Srl, Italy, for the members of Coordination center of Ukrainian associations in Italy. The event gathered about 50 participants.

"KROK" University was represented by the team of the Institute of International Education

• Andrii LOTARIEV - Director of the Institute of International Education;

• Halyna BOHACHENKO - Director of International Project Office;

• Svitlana OLESHCHUK – Project manager of International Project Office.

The event program included the following activities:

• Presentation by KROK University on how to participate in the program and what is required for it;
• Online speech by Elisa Ferrari, project manager of the program at the Microfinanza Srl. Elisa shared details about participation for Ukrainians and important advice to make the exchange successful;
• Q&A session with organizers;
• Networking.

February 15-16, 2024, the first kick-off meeting within the framework of the Virtual Exchanges Erasmus+ project "Art of Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (Mediation) / ArtNoConflict" was held at the NLBA, Netherlands.  

Halyna Bohachenko, the Director of International Project Office, represented KROK University. 

The meeting was held at the Netherlands Business Academy in Dordrecht, the Netherlands. The rector of the institution, Jan van Zwieten, opened the event and greeted all participants, spoke about practical experience in the field of mediation, about the activities of the academy. During the meeting, all partners made presentations of their universities and organizations, talked about their experience working with young people in the field of mediation, facilitation and negotiations. 

The participants discussed the goal, main tasks and expected results of the project, communication, rules of dissemination, reporting, financial management, requirements for the quality of results, main tasks for the next six months. 

During the second day, all participants visited the Ukrainian school in Dordrecht, which was founded with the support of Jan van Zwieten. The school is managed by Oksana Oliynyk, a graduate of the master's program "Mediation and Conflict Management" at the "KROK" University. The program was developed and implemented within the framework of the MEDIATS project "Mediation: Training and transformation of society". Oksana talked about how they combine two education systems (Ukrainian and Dutch), what help school teachers and the municipality provide to children and their parents, how conflicts are resolved, etc. 

Thanks to the organizers for a productive and interesting meeting, and to all partners of the #ArtNoConflict team for active participation! 

On February 1, 2024, a virtual ceremony of awarding Bachelor’s Diplomas to graduates of the educational program Management (English) was held online in Microsoft Teams.

Bachelor’s Diplomas with Honours and Merit Certificates in Recognition for Dedication, Hard Work and Support were awarded to Ejiofor Chukwuemeka Stephen and Ugbu Embassy Comfort.

The congratulating speeches were given by: Andrii Lotariev, Director of Educational and Scientific Institute of International Education, Anna Drobyna, Head of International Office, Maryna Skalatska, Project Manager of International Office. A video greeting from the University dance studio of "K-Dance" with the composition "In the shadows of Ukraine” was presented during the event.

Dear graduates, we are proud of you! We are glad that despite the difficult times, you managed to successfully complete your studies! We wish you achieving the goals and an easy path towards a new life!

On January 24, 2024, Institute of International Education took part in the Kick-off Meeting for Ukrainian and US Universities, which was organized by Odesa National Economic University, the partner of “KROK” University within Erasmus+ KA 2 #COOPERA project. The main goal of this online event was to discuss the concept of establishing a consortium of Ukrainian universities with a focus on driving Ukraine's reconstruction and integration into the European Union and United States economies.

The event gathered around 20 representatives of Ukrainian and US HEIs.

During the productive meeting partners discussed the possibility to create a consortium to enhance collaboration with U.S. universities, identified the specific areas of potential collaboration within the framework of research and projects application.

“KROK” University is very grateful to ONEU for the invitation to become the part of consortium and that our cooperation is not limited by existing projects but is moving forward! We are excited to open new horizons and implement ideas with the newly established consortium!

Students of "KROK" University continue to join the global trend on Sustainability. Thus, in January 2024, the piloting of another course, "Climate Entrepreneurship", developed within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ project CLIMAN/"Synergy of educational, scientific, management and industrial components for climate management and climate change prevention" (author: PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Olena Naumova) has started. 32 students of the educational program "Management (English)" chose the course as elective one to study in the spring semester of 2023-2024.

Also, 10 students of educational program "Management (English)" (4th year) started the course "Sustainable Strategic Management", developed by PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Olena Bielova, and piloted last semester.

On December 20, 2023, the consulting company CIVITTA Ukraine and the corporate accelerator Radar Tech, as one of the local coordinators of the ERASMUS FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS program in Ukraine, held an informational event at Kyiv, Ukraine.

On December 21, 2023 "KROK" University as part of the Erasmus+ KA 2 CBHE Project “Integrating Dual Higher Education in Moldova and Ukraine / COOPERA” received the technical equipment.

Students majoring in Journalism (based on this major the dual education is being piloted) got a unique opportunity to combine theoretical training with real practical experience. Now the training of future journalists will be implemented with the help of media equipment, a portable television studio will help to create a qualitative media product. The COOPERA project provided opportunities for the students of "KROK" University for professional development in the field of media.

IT Center staff demonstrated the possibilities of new equipment, and invited participants to the yet another lecture room equipped for conducting the classes in a blended mode.

Director of the Center of Information Technology, Volodymyr Holovan, emphasizes: «We are confident that this partnership with Amazon will greatly enrich the educational process of our University, allowing students to learn and apply innovative solutions in the field of cloud technologies».

For students, this is not only a learning experience, but also a unique opportunity to gain practical experience with a technology leader. This will expand their opportunities in the labor market and help them to be competitive in the modern information society. A new stage in the development of education has begun, reflecting the efforts of the combined forces of «KROK» University and Amazon in shaping the future leadership.

On November 13-17, 2023, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA 171 (mobility for teaching) academic mobility program, Maria Rastvorova, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism at «KROK» University, visited the Faculty of Business at Haliç University (Istanbul, Turkey).

Maria Rastvorova had the opportunity to talk to the professors of Business Department - Dean of Business Management Department Prof. Dr. Zeynep Aslı ALICI, Head of Business Management Program Prof. Şahver Ömeraki Çekirdekçi and Associate Professor Dr. Sibel Demirel, with whom she discussed innovative approaches to teaching business disciplines.

During the week-long teaching mobility, Ms. Maria gave three lectures on «Destination Branding: how to make your destination popular and profitable?» for 1st, 4th year students and MBA students, as part of the following educational components: «Principles of Marketing», «International Marketing» and «Introduction to Business», as well as a lecture on «Project management in tourism within the challenges of the war» as part of «Project Management» course for 4th year students majoring in Business Administration.

Recently, as part of the Month of Ecology, a discussion panel was held with the participation of students from the KROK University's Professional College on the topic «Environmental Challenges of the Present: Ukrainian Contexts».

The event was held within the framework of the Erasmus+ project «Synergy of educational, scientific, management and industrial components for climate management and climate change prevention/CLIMAN».

The meeting was moderated by Serhii Khara, Head of the Environmental Education Department of the Holosiivskyi National Nature Park, who, together with the leaders of LOTOS, Sophia Vengrynovych and Pavlo Lebediev, and the leader of SSC, Denys Shtak, discussed with the speakers the important environmental issues that Ukrainian society is facing today. The topics of the reports were diverse and relevant.
