Meeting of Organizing Committee of the Erasmus + Mediation

On December 10 and 11, 2019, the organizing committee of the Erasmus + Mediation: Learning and Transformation Society (MEDIATS) meeting was held in Riga (Latvia) with the participation of partners from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Spain, Latvia, the Netherlands, Germany and Ukraine.

Halyna Bohachenko, Project Manager of International Office of «KROK» University, presented the University's achievements and held workshops on administrative and financial project management, reporting, monitoring, equipment purchase, etc.

Jan van Zwitten, the Rector of the Netherlands Business Academy, presented the vision of the project, emphasized the prospects of operating an international network, maintaining a register of mediators and implementing joint training programs. The participants presented their own achievements in the field of project implementation, discussed the challenges and national features.

The Mediation: Learning and Transformation Society (MEDIATS) project aims to help universities become key players in facilitating mediation processes in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine in order to strengthen democracy and objectively address problems by acquiring best European practices.

Project objectives:

  • development and implementation of the Master's program «Mediation»;
  • establishment of the Mediation Federation in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and ensuring -sustainable development;
  • promoting the development and dissemination of values of mediation in society.

Project duration: from November 15, 2018 till November 14, 2021.

The project coordinator is the Netherlands Business Academy (Netherlands). Co-coordinator - «KROK» University (Ukraine). Project partners: University of San Antonio (Spain), Turiba University (Latvia), «KROK» University (Ukraine), Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (Ukraine), V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (Ukraine), Khazar University (Azerbaijan), Ganja State University (Azerbaijan), Ilia State University (Georgia), Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia), Hultgren Consult (Germany).
