In compiling this year's ranking, experts took into account current trends in universities’ development. Among the basic principles the most authoritative rankings of educational institutions are used: «Scopus», «UniRank», «Google Scholar Citations», «QS World University Rankings», «Webometrics» and others. Each of these rankings uses different ranking criteria.
