Conflict management skills are relevant in any field where people interact with people. You teach, deliver products or services, help solve problems, manage organizations, processes and people, agree, present - rest assured, there is always room for conflict. The world has developed technologies and tools to resolve successfully various conflicts. The International Summer Mediation School - 2022 dedicated to mastering the practical basics of mediation and conflict management. Participation in the International Summer Mediation School will provide information on the practical application of mediation and other conflict resolution methods.
Participation in the events will be useful for both experienced professionals and those who are just being acquainted with mediation.

On May 15, 2022, «KROK» University turned 30 years old! On this occasion, all staff of the University gathered online to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the University.
Despite this difficult time and historical challenges, all the participants of the online event were waiting for a lot of pleasure, and most importantly it is a family atmosphere, which was felt even through the screens of gadgets. After all, no matter how far we are, we are still #КРОКуємо30років!
It is known that «KROK» is a success story of people: students, lecturers, all employees. On the occasion of the solemn event, the founders of the University presented the badge "Honor" and the anniversary badge "Honor", which are awarded for outstanding personal contribution to the development of the University, many years of active research and educational activities, significant personal contribution to strengthening the financial position and infrastructure. methods and technologies of educational and research activities organization that have significantly improved the reputation of the University.
In addition, for personal contribution to the University, the KROK University Award was awarded to some staff.

On May 11 – 13, 2022, in the charming city of Bled, Slovenia, a seminar for Program Managers - Program Management Seminar was organized by CEEMAN Association. A group of participants from 10 schools and 9 countries celebrated the return of the program management seminar after two years of online learning. Among the participants there was Olena Rudavka, Deputy Director of KROK Business School, who was the only participant from Ukraine.
The seminar is an intensive and highly interactive three-day exchange of experience designed to motivate project managers working in universities and business schools to perform their increasingly complex responsibilities more effectively. Classes included expert briefings, group discussions, case studies, and a lot of communication and experience sharing between participants.
Experienced business education practitioners and market experts were invited as trainers of the seminar, in particular:
KROK Business School is extremely grateful to the leadership of CEEMAN Association and in particular to Danica Purg, President of CEEMAN, for the opportunity given to the representative of our business school, for financial and organizational support and solidarity with Ukrainians.

On April 28, 2022, a selection of «KROK» University students for mobility programs with European higher education institutions was held online on Microsoft Teams.
The Selection Committee consisted of Andrii Lotariev, Head of International Office, Anna Drobyna, Project Manager, Maryna Yevchenko, Administration Manager and Iryna Pavlova, Student Manager of Student’s Office.
This time among the partners offering mobility programs for the next semester there were the universities of Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Croatia and Austria.

On April 26, 2022, Andrii Lotariev, Head of International Office, and Anna Drobyna, Project Manager, took part in Open Day Event, organized by Businet network.
Businet is a network of international higher education institutions (both private and public universities and colleges) that share a common vision for the internationalization of their HEIs. Businet creates an environment that facilitates the exchange of best practices and encourages collaboration between like-minded organizations.
The purpose of Open Day Event was to demonstrate solidarity with Ukrainian educators during the difficult times of the war, to gather ideas for support of Ukrainian higher education institutions by European HEIs, to get acquainted with urgent problems faced by higher education in Ukraine. Moreover, Businet network offers free membership to Ukrainian HEIs in its network for at least three years.
We thank the partners for the opportunity to join European initiatives, we hope for fruitful cooperation in the educational network!
On April 19-23, 2022, a study visit combined with training was organized at Turiba University in Riga, Latvia in frameworks of Erasmus+ project CLIMAN/ «Synergy of educational, scientific, management and industrial components for climate management and climate change prevention». The activity was organized onsite and online in order to involve Ukrainian partners.

All partners in their speeches expressed their sincere sympathy and inspiring words of support to Ukrainian people. All further project activities will be postponed till the end of war in Ukraine, such decision have already been negotiated and agreed by Georgian and the EU partners during project meeting of the consortium on April 5, 2022.

On April 18, 2022, Information Event «Erasmus Day» took place online on Microsoft Teams. It was organized by International Office, in particular: Andrii Lotariev, Head of International Office, Anna Drobyna, Project Manager and Maryna Yevchenko, Administration Manager.
Students at different educational levels had the opportunity to receive information about mobility (exchange) programs implemented by «KROK» University to learn about the selection procedure and the universities that are offered for selection for the next semester. On April 6, 2022, the meeting of MEDIATS partners was organized online. The event began with one minute of silence in honor of memory of soldiers and civilians who died because of a full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. In their speeches, all present partners expressed their sincere condolences and inspiring words of support to the Ukrainian people, as well as discussed further steps of cooperation and development of the international community MEDIATS.
It is worth noting that the consortium cooperates not only on working issues, but also partners are ready to help each other in difficult situations. Since the beginning of the war, all partners have supported Ukrainians.
At the initiative and support of Prof. Jan van Zwieten, Rector of the Netherlands Business Academy, Oksana Oliinyk, the alumnus of Master Degree program in Mediation at KROK Business School, coordinates Ukrainian school for Ukrainian children in Dordrecht. Oksana was also one of the participants of the training for students of mediation program, which was organized in Dordrecht in November 2021. Marjon Coopers and Gea van Klompenberg, lecturers of the Netherlands Business Academy, have organized a medical assistance to group for Ukrainians and do other support for their Ukrainian friends, including involving to the project activities.
Halyna Bohachenko, Project Manager of «KROK» University, together with Yvette Livius, Education Coordinator of Breda City Council and NLBA Executive Director, are organizing education for Ukrainian children in cooperation with Breda schools. Yanina Nedashkivska, alumnus of KROK Business School, organized humanitarian activities in Spain, together with university staff to develop the Platform for Peace at Catholic University of Saint Anthony (UCAM)o in Murcia, Spain. All these is due to help of Maria Mendes Rocasolano, professor of UCAM University, who was the trainer of Yanina and other students at training for students in mediation program, which took place in October 2021 in Spain.
Oliver Schmidt, CEO of Hultgren Nachhaltigkeitsberatung UG also provides enormous help and support to Ukrainian people, including sharing of supportive initiatives, organization of housing to Ukrainians.
At the meeting the participants discussed activities and further steps to implement the project - the organization of summer school at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, national seminar at Ganja State University, preparation of news and updates for the new newsletter, preparation of project publications.
Oksana Koval, Director of Educational and Scientific Institute of Communications of West Ukrainian National University, that recently joined the consortium, announced the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Communication as a factor in the transparency of social interaction: psychological, historical, legal, economic and political dimensions». The organizers plan to hold a conference on April 28 at West Ukrainian National University.
We are glad that the consortium of MEDIATS project is turning into a MEDIATS community, in which all project participants communicate, help each other, create and implement new initiatives, actively involve new partners, such as West Ukrainian National University - this is real added value and impact of the project, that changes lives for better.
