Anna Nyzhnyk, a 1st year student majoring in Computer Science, shares her impressions of studying at «KROK» University: «I became interested in computers and everything related to them as a child when I spent time with my dad. That is why I chose this specialty. In addition, I liked the Computer Science program itself. I am happy with my choice. In fact, I didn't expect that my studies would be so interesting and straightforward. Only what will really come in handy in the future. We have great lecturers who do their job perfectly and give us the opportunity to learn something new. It is important for me to enjoy my work and I hope that I have made the right choice and that I will only see this in the future».
Anna is one of the active students who have been recognized by the administration for their excellent academic performance. We just want to wish Anna not to stop there and to acquire new knowledge, skills and discover interesting horizons.
Today we would like to share with you an interesting story about our student from group KN-22, a vivid example of how you can combine a computer and an active lifestyle and sports.
The student's name is Rostyslav Kovalov. He played for Chyhyryn Children's and Youth Sports School and Cherkasy teams FC «Urahan» and «Zorіa-Cherkasy» Dnipro. At one of the football tournaments that took place in 2005 in Lviv, where FC «Dynamo Kyiv» team also took part, Rostyslav received an invitation to watch the coaches of the Dynamo Kyiv Academy. As a result of a successful viewing, he began training with the team of the Dynamo Kyiv Academy in 2005. While training at the Academy, he played in the DUFLU for the football teams FC «Dinaz» Vyshhorod, CYSS-26 and FC «Dynamo Kyiv».
After graduating from the Dynamo Kyiv Academy, he continued his football career at «Kolos» Kovalivka U-19. He plays as a midfielder.
Rostyslav he has loved computers and sports since childhood, so he combined his favorite things by getting enrolled in specialty 122 at «KROK» University. Here's what he had to say about it: «The modern world and computers are very much connected, we meet various computer systems in our everyday life in its various manifestations (Digital Kyiv, Diia, Social Networks, TV), so I think this is the future. Major «Computer Science» provides great opportunities for a successful career - systematic thinking and thorough training make it easy to adapt to various fields of information technology. This profession does not prevent you from working remotely, which makes it possible to do other favorite things».
We wish the young talent not to stop there, to win new victories in education and sports!
Today we would like to introduce you to our next student from the specialty 122 «Computer Science», who is studying in the fourth year and on June 12, 2024, he just successfully defended the BA Thesis at «KROK» University - congratulations!
Our hero's name is Oleksandr Bokuchava, and he is an encouraging Ukrainian eSports player who currently represents the Passion UA team.
Since childhood, Oleksandr has dreamed of a career in eSports, and this dream began to come true when he became one of the top 500 players in Europe in the popular game Overwatch. His success in this game at the age of 16 became the starting point for taking eSports seriously and it contributed to his even greater interest in computers. Therefore, the choice of «KROK» University and the specialty 122 «Computer Science» was not just due to positive reviews on the Internet or its proximity to home, but to a greater extent due to Oleksandr's desire to immerse himself even more in the world of computer science and win new victories. However, despite his ambitions, Oleksandr faced unforeseen circumstances: first, the COVID-19 pandemic, which moved offline tournaments to an online format, and then the war, which prevented him from traveling to participate in international competitions.
When being asked about his future plans, Oleksandr’s answer is as follows: «At this stage, I plan to finish my studies, I don't really like to make plans for the distant future. But I hope that this rather universal major will help me to provide for myself if I don't succeed in becoming a millionaire in eSports ».
Oleksandr continues to pursue his dreams despite the obstacles, and his story is an inspiration for many young players who aspire to succeed in the world of eSports and Сomputer Science!
